Third Sunday in Advent
Wonder of a Manger
(Light 2 Purple and 1 Pink Candles)
And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. Luke 2:7
Can you even imagine? No hospital, nurses, doctors, clean sheets and sterilized beds, first pictures, outfit to go home in, new car seat, huge diaper bag, bottles, diapers and so much more.
Mary had a manger and some cloths for Jesus, the Savior of the World. It was crazy, yet perfect. Not at all what they had hoped for, yet everything they needed. The manger was what was needed.
Share a time in your life that you wanted way more and then realized you had exactly what you needed already.
God, thank you for always giving me exactly what I need even when I think I need more. AMEN
